My Friend Pedro is described as a platforming shooter. A plays a bit like Trials but instead of using a motorcycle, you’re dual wielding and using bullet time. Also, sometimes you’re doing that with a motorcycle. In fact, like Trials, Geometry Wars, and Skate, My Friend Pedro shares something unique to these games in particular. A game that goes far above and beyond it’s mere description.
So for this review I’ll just say the mixture of tight platforming, controls and puzzle mechanics are top notch. It has great level design, and the skill ceiling is out of this world compared to the average game lately.
At it’s best, this game, it’s format, and what it’s about can’t truly be described. Like the other classic games I mentioned, it just needs to be seen, and then played.
