Rumor: Rainbow Six Siege 2 to be revealed at SI 2025

It has been reported that Rainbow Six Siege 2 is going to be revealed during the Six Invitational 2025 also referred to as SI 2025. The annual esports event is set to be held from February 14-16, 2025. This is according to fraxiswinning on X.

The leaker suggests that Rainbow Six Siege 2 will likely be released around the Year 10 Season 2 update that is scheduled to arrive in a couple of months. They also claim that Siege 2 will have an engine overhaul and a graphical upgrade in textures and models.

The user also suggests that all old events will never come back in “Siege X”.

Fans have been patiently waiting for a Rainbow Six Siege 2 as it will be 10 years in late 2025 since Six Siege release for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Ubisoft could use positive news as they announced that XDefiant will be shutting down. The free-to-play first-person shooter started off strong with millions of players but quickly dropped off in player count.

As always, we must take leaks like this with a grain of salt. Ubisoft has not commented on these reports and we’ll have to wait and see next weekend. If the announcement will be made we should expect it to happen near the grand finals of that event.
