
Starting today, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have enter its fourth season of new content and features that will be coming to the battle royale title. As part of the new season, the island of Erangel will be receiving a handful of new changes that are planned to drop with the latest update.
In mentioning of the map, Erangel was given a complete visual overhaul with a fresh coat of paint along with newly added complexes to make the map feel unique, but still holding true to its familiarity. The added areas will also delve into the secrets that some hardcore fans might be interested in regarding the Battle Scarred Island.
As per every new season, more items have been unloaded for players to progress and unlock during their playtime during this current season. However, exclusive goodies will also be rewarded to those who purchase the $10 Survivor Pass: Aftermath. Items that are included from the pass varies from new gear as well as cosmetics for weapons and even vehicles.
Community will also be taking the frontlines as communitive missions will be another addition for Season 4. Players will progress towards a set challenge that only the entire player base can achieve, however, the reward is only given to those that own the current survival pass. Survival ranks will also be returning which will give players initiative to earn their rank for more in-game items.
The collection of vehicles currently available in the game have also received a major tweak for better controlling and are more suitable for the hairiest of situations. The latest BRDM-2 have also been adjusted for the respected game mode: squads will inflict the least amount of damage on the APC while posing a major threat when in contrast to solos as it will be crucial for how much it can take. In other PUBG-related news, Rectify Arena will be host its second tournament this weekend with the Summer Duo Sizzle with a prize pool of $2,000. Featuring 40 teams strung between four matches, these players will be put to the test to see who comes out victorious in our latest held event. The tournament will be going live July 27th at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST on the Rectify Gaming Twitch channel.
