
SEGA held its Financial Results from January 1 to March 31, 2026. The company has revealed that it canceled its ‘Super Game‘ project that was expected to have a budget of $800M or higher.
While the Super Game is canceled, SEGA has confirmed that Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, and Streets of Rage revivals are still in development. The release window for these titles is expected to be beyond FY2027/3:

They also shared that Sonic Rumble Party is having weak performance and “did not achieve the creation of economic value through collaboration with Rovio”. They’ve already moved over 100 people from the F2P development team to help work on full game developments, focusing on the “mainstay IPs.”
What was the Super Game?
The secret Super Game from SEGA will remain a secret. It was initially supposed to be released by March 2026, when this was first shared in a document in 2023. This involved a concept of a game that stood head and shoulders above normal games.
