If you’re not in the preview program for Xbox One, then today will be the first chance you get to test out the new May update. As we know, you will now be able to use voice messages both to and from all Xbox One and 360 users. Previously, only Xbox 360 had this feature. The fix allowing us to remain in a party while sending a voice message is also activated.

In addition, the dedicated servers for party chat are up and running as well as some new SmartGlass features. For those with the app on your mobile device, you will now be able to turn your Xbox One on or off via SmartGlass. This feature is new and previously, if you tried to open an app if your console was off you would receive a can’t connect message.

Nothing else of any substance is added to the fray but hey, these new add ons are pretty good stuff anyway.

Thanks Xbox Wire
