The Smite World Championships is taking place this weekend and Hi-Rez Studios may have a surprise on Sunday when the event gets closer to finishing. A Russian Steam Client may have leaked one of the announcements being Smite 2.

On Sunday at 2 PM ET, Hi-Rez left a slot open for “To Be Announced” and the official social media account for Smite teased followers to mark their calendars and mentioned they don’t want to miss the keynote.

This year will mark 10 years of Smite as the game was released on March 25, 2014, and had a strong player base of over 3 million players by June of that year. Some might say it is long overdue for a sequel to come out and we’ll have to see if any cosmetic items would transfer to the rumored sequel of Smite.

Smite is currently available for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
