Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that starting May 20, PlayStation Plus prices will be rising for new customers in select regions.
Prices for new PlayStation Plus members will start at $10.99 for 1-month subscriptions. As for 3-month subscriptions, it will start at $27.99.
Sony shares that the price increase is “due to ongoing market conditions”. This price does not apply to current subscribers except for India and Turkey unless the existing subscription changes or lapses.
The benefits that come with PlayStation Plus include monthly free games for subscribers and access to more online features on PS4 and PS5.
PlayStation Single-Player Games Staying Console Exclusive
It was confirmed today that PlayStation-exclusive single-player games will become console-exclusive to PlayStation consoles. However, live service games like Marathon will still release on other platforms. This will mean games like Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and God of War Remake Trilogy will only be playable on PlayStation 5, not on PC.
