This past November stood out to be a monumental achievement for both Respawn Entertainment alongside publisher Electronic Arts with the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The title instantly climbed the charts to be one of the top selling titles in the history for EA and even sold impressively well with the first debut of the publisher returning to Steam. However, following the release, there was no set roadmap or discussed DLC to be provided for the single player game.
While fans might have hoped for a unique story expansion or added gameplay elements through other means, Respawn Entertainment kept quiet about the possibility of more downloadable content. However, in celebration of today’s May the Fourth, an abrupt free update has dropped for the game.
Simply dubbed ‘Free Update’, players can expect a bevy of more incentive to drop back into the shoes of Cal Kestis portrayed by Cameron Monaghan. You can watch the full trailer in the video below:
Given from the update trailer, the highly-requested New Game + has finally arrived. Instead being labeled ‘New Journey +’, players can relive each anticipating moment of the story campaign again and earn new unique in-game cosmetics for Cal, BD-1, and Stinger Mantis ship. However, what makes the update more unique is the newly added Meditation Challenges players itching for a new test to take on.
As the title implies, players when visiting any of the game’s meditation spots will be welcomed with a new selection of challenges that players can task themselves with in reward for more upgrade points to max out Cal’s abilities. Even more, the game is also gifted a Meditation Challenge Creator for players to craft their own challenges to take on and submit online.
Respawn’s recent Star Wars game was recently talk of the town just last week as Electronic Arts and Google have announced that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be shipping to Stadia later this year. Follow suit with FIFA and madden this coming winter. You can read the full report by heading here.
