It definitely came to be a surprise when developer Supermassive Games announced that the team would developing a lineage of thrilling stories for the slew of platforms outside of Sony’s jurisdiction. Just this August, the first entry being Man of Medan officially released and the team has already went back to the board on developing the follow-up entry.

When discussing The Dark Pictures Anthology with Game Informer back in July, it was shared that the team has at least eight different projects in line for the series. With support from publisher Bandai Namco to crunch out as many projects the team feels, Managing Director Pete Samuels interjects that Supermassive will continue to work on the franchise “until somebody tells us to stop.”

Since the discussion, the UK-based studio has been radio silent on the matters of the plot or what exactly the next entry will be from the studio. Only teasing the titling for those who finished the first release, Supermassive Games announced today that Little Hope will be arriving this Summer.

You can watch the full trailer in the video below:

“Abandoned and all alone, 4 college students and their teacher become stranded in an isolated town miles from anywhere after their bus crashes in bad weather. Trapped by a mysterious fog in the town of Little Hope, they search desperately for a means of escape whilst visions from the past haunt them from the shadows,” the synopsis on the game’s website reads.

Given from the trailer, the setting Little Hope holds as the universes’ pseudo-Salem, Massachusetts as witchcraft and other dark magic means are tossed throughout the announcement reel. Only with the few glimpses that were shown in the trailer of the antagonizing legend, this time around the monstrosity appears to be a more tangible entity compared to the titular Man of Medan apparition.

Are you excited for Little Hope to arrive later this year?

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope will arrive sometime in summer 2020 for Xbox One ,PlayStation 4, and PC.
