
This approaching weekend had quickly became a setback for attendees at this year’s PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts as a handful of developers rescheduled or completely pulled out from hosting its titles at the annual event. And now another game studio can be added to the list as developer Thatgamecompany has announced just a day before the convention that its participation will be withdrawn due to the growing concerns of the spreading coronavirus.
On Twitter, the company illustrates that as stress continues to expand as more and more cases of the illness emerges globally, the team will retract its attendance in efforts to withhold more reoccurring instances of the pathogen escalating.
The studio’s most involved event that was scheduled for PAX East is the panel the team hosted during the four-day convention – Exploring New Adventure In SKY. The panel initially was scheduled on the Saturday of the event, but now has been cancelled due to the raising concerns of the COVIN-19 ailment.
Reiterating on previously, the coronavirus’ increasing concern emerging in nations across the globe has hindered the population from migrating with ease like prior and now limits developers from attending events. This precaution originally started when Sony Interactive Entertainment and later with Capcom.
