In hopes for a brighter future for Halo Infinite’s post-launch plans for the game, the remaining players sit extra patiently for more promises from developer 343 Industries to roll out throughout 2022. In the official roadmap for Halo Infinite closing out this year, the team highlights features like co-op campaign, campaign mission select, and Forge Mode to release periodically well into the fall.
The reasoning for this – Head of Creative Joe Staten explained it is to fix the prominent quality of life issues on the direct surface of the game. “Like today when you fire up the game: that is our number one priority. We’re still working on additional seasonal content, but we need to create space for the team to rigorously go after.” However, one employee at Xbox revealed some new additions coming to the game.
According to a tweet from James Shields, Xbox Senior Product Manager, Halo Infinite is to feature Clippy as cosmetics for the game. More precisely, the memorable computer assistant will bring a nameplate and weapon charm.
In correspondence to the finding, the two discoveries are slated to be accessible sometime in Season 2 for Halo Infinite. This is not the first instance a gag was included in a game as a cosmetic item. Previously, Sonic Team welcomed a ‘Sanic’ t-shirt to Sonic Forces before which was offered as a free cosmetic.
Elsewhere for Halo Infinite recently, the core gameplay for the title was originally planned to be structured much differently. According to @ChrisRayGun on Twitter and Bloomberg Tech’s Jason Schreier, the team at 343 Industries aimed to include hero-based combat, but scratched the idea later on.
