Bethesda and id Software have released DOOM: The Dark Ages as of May 15, 2025, on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. It was announced that the game is the biggest launch in the reboot trilogy’s history. It got to 3 million total players seven times faster than DOOM Eternal.
Is DOOM: The Dark Ages Coming To Switch 2?
Bethesda or Microsoft has not announced if DOOM: The Dark Ages will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Based on previous history, don’t be surprised that it comes to the new console because we saw DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal both release on the Switch, which was impressive within itself.
There is no question that DOOM: The Dark Ages can perform on the Switch 2. But it depends on if id Software had a devkit yet or when they’ll receive one. It was reported that most publishers and developers will start receiving kits in June once the console has been released.
DOOM: The Dark Ages costs $69.99 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. The game features 22 chapters, entertaining and intense gameplay. It’s a prequel to DOOM (2016) and might be seen as the best game in the reboot trilogy.
