
Just about a year following the game’s announcement for Nintendo Switch, Civilization VI will be migrating its troops to the foreign lands on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this coming November. Initially announced for Sony’s console during this week’s PlayStation State of Play presentation, developer Firaxis Games clarified following the announcement that the game will have an Xbox version as well.
Next month will mark the third year since the release of Civilization VI; initially launching on the PC to introduce the latest version of Sid Meier’s turn-based strategy title with more outcomes, cultures, and overall activities to pursue the perfect civilization. Since then, the game has received two separate expansions alongside a bevy of game changing improvements to give players the most lasting experience for a Civilization title yet.
Firaxis Games announcing the two console versions added on that not only will the base game becoming to Xbox and PlayStation, but also the Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm expansions will be launching on the same date. Players will have to purchase the downloadable content separately either by individual purchase or through the Expansion Bundle.
Noted that the Switch version, which came a year before, still has yet to receive the two expansions as of writing. However, the development team did clarify that they do plan to bring the both Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm to the Nintendo eShop before the end of 2019 at the earliest.
