It came as a big surprise when Japanese developer Atlus announced Persona 5 will be coming to Nintendo Switch. But instead of the traditional JRPG-style game that released back in 2016, the studio shared that a spin-off entry dubbed Scramble will be shipping instead. Connected to the story of the titular entry, Scramble stands as a Dynasty Warriors-like title that expands further in the already rich plot of Persona 5.

With the game slated to release this past February in Japan, it was unsure where the game would land next. Seeing that many fans west of Atlus’ home country would also like to get their hands on Scramble, it was presumed a localized version of the game could be on the way. But as of yet, the firm has yet to disclose those details.

But it was this past December that a filed trademark from Sega disclosed a western version dubbed ‘Persona 5 Strikers’ instead of the Japanese iteration, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. But now in a new report from Persona Central, the outlet has an update on the aforementioned version. In that, Koei Tecmo disclosed in a recent financial report that the version coming our way is officially underway.

In the financial presentation held by Koei Tecmo, the firm shares that Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is being scheduled to release in “the West.” Additionally, the finding also confirms that the titling for the project will also align with the version already available in Japan, not simply Persona 5 Strikers as initially reported.

It is told that Koei Tecmo has also listed different versions for that Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers in a previous financial report back in April. But it is suspected that said versions are aimed for neighboring nations nearby to Japan. However, the latest reports explicitly tells this version to be coming to the west, specifically.

Although Atlus has been quiet about Persona 5 Scramble for Nintendo Switch, the same cannot be said for other properties underway. Just last week, the studio announced that Shin Migami Tensei V will be coming to Nintendo Switch globally sometime in 2021. You can read the fill announcement by heading here.
