When it comes to Bethesda’s lineup of properties arriving to the next-generation of consoles in the coming future, the team is already set with nearly a handful of anticipating projects underway for the newer hardware. Titles such as Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo are just some examples of where the team is leading for software arriving to the approaching wave of console hardware.

Howbeit, the publisher still has more underway for its current lineup already available. In a new announcement recently, Bethesda announced that id Software’s Doom Eternal and Zenimax Online Studio’s The Elder Scrolls Online will be receiving next-generation ports. The firm tells that upgrading to the new hardware can only be made through the respected family of hardware (Xbox One to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5).

Players who own or purchase either title on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade for free to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions, respectively, when those versions are available. Additionally, our teams are working hard to ensure both titles will support backwards compatibility when the new consoles launch.

In addition to just the two titles that will be supported on both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, Bethesda also tells that the list will not stop there as the team is “are committed to offer free upgrades for current generation console owners of existing Bethesda titles we bring forward into the next generation of consoles.” Details regarding the additional enhancements and other unique features to the updated versions will be spared at a later time, Bethesda shares.

Taking place today is Bethesda’s QuakeCon @ Home. The virtual-alternative show alike its physical event will take place across the course of three days offering a lineup of streams and other online promotions to commemorate Bethesda projects. You can read the initial report by heading here.
