In anticipation for the then-coming DC Fandome that is currently being livestreamed, DC Comics unveiled the schedule for the virtual showcase to give fans a grasp of what is taking place when. Among the already-announced Suicide Squad title from Rocksteady Studios, DC Comics also listed that Warner Bros. Montreal will be present to feature its upcoming project also.

While not providing much on the title itself, fans were left to reflect on the rumors that surfaced earlier on. One being the listed domains registered by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment: the first we already understand to be the new project from the Batman Arkham team and the other is presumably slated for Warner Bros. Montreal. The listings shared titling for SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague and GothamKnights.

Now during the DC Fandome Hall of Heroes livestream, Warner Bros. Montreal took the spotlight to officially showcase Gotham Knights with a reveal trailer. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Batman is dead. It is now up to the Batman FamilyBatgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and #Robin – to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals,” the synopsis for the new title reads from the trailer’s description. “You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos.”

As you can gather, players will be offered the ability to take on the entire Batfamily and play either of the heroes at any moment when treading across Gotham City. Not only that, but players will also have the opportunity to excel each character in their own direction as you progress through the story to morph them into a definitive Gotham Knight.

Interesting enough, the game Warner Bros. Montreal presented shares to be aligned with a cooperative, level-based experience that will be offered with Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad. So how the two will contrast one another is sure to be exciting when the game receives its stage time later today. Even more, it will be a sight to rank these titles alongside Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers as well.

What are you most excited to see more from Gotham Knights?

Gotham Knights is listed to ship sometime in 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
