For most anticipating the game’s release, Halo Infinite while not offering much until this past July became a highlight for the beginning of the new console generation. But it was not long until developer 343 Industries acknowledged that the scale of the game began to overwhelm the studio as the release window began approaching and decided to shelve the game in favor for a release date set sometime in 2021.

Most recognized for the game’s appearance and later topped to be an issue with the dynamic lighting system for the Splispace Engine used for Halo Infinite, it was in better interest for all users to keep the game in development for a little bit longer to meet expectations. Even better, shortly after the news was delivered, Halo trilogy veteran John Staten announced to be positioned as a leading role for Halo Infinite as the game furthers its time under wraps.

Looking ahead for the official release of Halo Infinite, many expect a holiday release sometime next year following Staten’s involvement being announced. Howbeit, there are other speculation suggesting an early launch. When discussing the initial release of the game, Xbox head Phil Spencer nodded to the idea of a Q121 release for Halo Infinite with no objections on the Animal Talking Podcast.

But more on the later release for the title, a recent rumor has circulated suggesting an arrival this December. More specifically set for December 31 next year, fans are insisting the date for the game listed on Amazon to be authentic. Howbeit, 343 Industries says that to be misleading as Community Director Brian Jarrard on Twitter deplatforms the claim.

While Jarrard does verify that the date is not an accurate representation of Halo Infinite’s release date, many should already associate that specific date to be just a base for when the official release window is properly announced. In that, most game listings use that date as a placeholder since there has to be a time set for the listing on retailers.

Again on the possible Q1 release for Halo Infinite, many have yet to discuss on the matters of it which is surprising since Spencer never denounced its possibility. When speaking to Gary Whitta during the interview, the host stated that “Halo will push to sometime in Q1” and the Xbox lead did not redirect the discussion or discounted the timeframe asked.

Given that players will have less to look forward to when the Xbox Series X/Xbox Series S arrives later this November, that is not a dramatic loss for Microsoft. That being told by Microsoft spokesperson Cindy Walker, she explains that players have plenty of content to enjoy later this fall. You can read the full report by heading here.

When do you hope Halo Infinite will arrive next year?

Halo Infinite is set to ship sometime in 2021 for Xbxo One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
