At Mundfish, the Atomic Heart IP is at the core for the developer. In 2025, it already confirmed Atomic Heart II is in active development already. Additionally, a separate spin-off set in the same universe as Atomic Heart is also underway with The Cube. According to the studio, The Cube is a MMO shooter RPG that meshes realities of “physics, ballistics, and gravity” into one core experience.
Recently, Mundfish expanded the story for Atomic Heart once again. Back in April the team rolled out DLC Blood on Crystal. The fourth downloadable expansion for Atomic Heart is said to feature a new adventure where “P-3, the Twin and their comrades must venture deeper in Facility 3826 than ever before to battle CHAR-les and make a last desperate bid to save humanity from total annihilation.”
At the PlayStation State of Play, Mundfish as part of its ‘Powerhouse’ publishing banner alongside Team Clout confirmed ILL is set to release next year in 2027. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“Grotesque monsters, intriguing characters, advanced physics and a visceral dismemberment system,” the description for ILL reads from the trailer. “The game is the first title under the Mundfish Powerhouse label and a debut project from Team Clout studio, who are horror experts and have collaborated with well-known directors. Now, the team is aiming to create a game that will claw its way into your consciousness and expose your true fears, layer by layer.”
On the topic of horror, Konami at the PlayStation State of Play also went ahead revealing Silent Hill: Townfall for a September release later this fall. Unlike ILL, it will only ship for PlayStation 5 & PC. You can read the full report by heading here.
