To understand what exactly is coming for Cyberpunk 2077, the developer is planning to issue a blanket of additional hotfixes and patches throughout the course of January and February 2021. The firm issued the details in mid December following the release of the aforementioned game with rising complaints on behalf of the title operating on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The issue then swelled in regards to the scheduled content that will be arriving to Cyberpunk 2077. Although the developer did originally state that the formula being curated for Cyberpunk 2077 post-launch content will align with how The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was dealt years prior, it is uncertain as to where this will lead now that the team is currently working to optimize the game on older consoles.

In a recent report issued by CD Projekt Red, the Polish team disclosed that it is unable to determine the state of its additional content for Cyberpunk 2077. Company CEO Adam Kicinski blatantly answers to the matters of the add-on with: “we don’t know yet,” however, goes on to include that reworkings for the game is underway following recent complaints.

But now it is understood that some form of DLC is coming to Cyberpunk 2077 fairly soon. Scheduled for early 2021, the game’s official website received an update recently disclosing that whatever it is – it will be free. “Free DLC starts hitting Night City early 2021,” the text reads. “Stay tuned for more info,” the page concludes with.

Again, while it is already acknowledged that story expansions will handled as it did with CD Projekt Red’s previous release, it is currently unsure what is being referenced in the new website update. But going on the fact of the content to be issued at no additional cost, the category of the add-on is not expected to be a major game changer; rather to the likes of new weapons, vehicles, or missions.

More recently, CD Projekt Red issued a response to the new lawsuit that is being inflicted on the developer. The firm tells it will defend itself against the claim on behalf of Cyberpunk 2077 operation on last-generation consoles. You can read the full report by heading here.

What are you hoping the free add-ons to be for Cyberpunk 2077?

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S< PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Stadia.
