To those that regular Among Us already on Android, iOS, or even PC, communicating in-game is a simple mechanism that players can easily operate through keyboard or an on-screen keyboard. However, the same feature is not as prevalent on other platforms that the game is coming to. Already, Among Us is available on Nintendo Switch. But while touch screen-enabled, players might find it difficult to text with Joy-Cons or the Pro Controller efficiently.

And InnerSloth is aware about this concern. In the past, the indie game studio has noted the complications of working on console versions with text-based chat. At the time, the developer shares concern as to how the team will approach making gameplay flexible with text chat and not utilizing a keyboard of any sorts.

Now in a tweet that InnerSloth issued earlier this month, the developer welcomes a new Quickchat feature for Among Us so players can spend less time typing and more so finishing tasks and investigating for the real imposter.

InnerSloth also happened to run into issues at the start of the update going live originally, but the developer has shared to resolve any bugs or hiccups that the team stumbled upon later on. The addition comes just in time for when the Xbox versions of Among Us arrives later this year – so players can keep up with those on PC and mobile already.

Elsewhere more recently, InnerSloth also issued that the coming Airship map for Among Us is scheduled to arrive on March 31 later this month. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you welcoming to the Quickchat feature?

Among Us is out now for Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch; comes to Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S later in 2021.
