While the complications from 2020’s novel coronavirus is being suppressed as vaccines are to be administered across the globe, so of the precautions from last year are still being followed. Namely one being the pursuit for digital-only events. While users are anticipating to reenter normalcy this year, organizers are not prepared to take the risk just yet.
Already, the Electronic Software Association (ESA) announced to be hosting its annual E3 show entirely online. Additionally, the group stated that there will be more than a handful of major publishers present at the show: Capcom, Koch Media, Konami, Microsoft, Nintendo, Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. And the tradition is to be carried on in 2021 elsewhere as well.
Just like E3, The PC Gaming Show and the inaugural Future Games Show of alike in 2020 will be returning with a virtual presentation as well for 2021. Another shared trait in 2021 now is that both will be taking place on the same day this year as well, in June to be more accurate.
“The PC Gaming Show began in 2015 with the goal of uniting the disparate creators and hardware makers that comprise the hobby under one roof, shining a light on the vibrancy of the open gaming platform,” publication PC Gamer writes for the synopsis of its self-named event.
“The Future Games Show debuted in June 2020 and was hosted by Uncharted stars Nolan North and Emily Rose. This was followed by the Future Games Show @Gamescom in August 2020 and Future Games Show: Spring Showcase in March 2021,” GamesRadar gives for an overview for the Future Games Show.
