Although its initial announcement predating back to E3 2019, FromSoftware remains very quite on the upcoming project, Elden Ring. Even with the title to be in collaboration with Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, hardly any information has sourced from the project since its initial inception which left many fans concerned as to the future of the game.

For instance, it was reported that FromSoftware internally delayed Elden Ring on a few accounts which might answer for no signs of the game. However, that appears to potentially continue still. In a recent financial report by FromSoftware parent company Kawakowa, it was indicated that another potential delay was imminent for the project as well.

But nearly two years later, Elden Ring resurfaces with a new trailer to close out Summer Game Fest. You can watch the new trailer below:

“Unravel the mysteries of the Elden Ring’s power. Encounter adversaries with profound backgrounds, characters with their own unique motivations for helping or hindering your progress, and fearsome creatures,” the overview reads on the Bandai Namco’s website.

“Traverse the breathtaking world on foot or on horseback, alone or online with other players, and fully immerse yourself in the grassy plains, suffocating swamps, spiraling mountains, foreboding castles and other sites of grandeur on a scale never seen before in a FromSoftware title. Charge into battle, pick off enemies one-by-one using stealth, or even call upon allies for aid. Many options are at your disposal as you decide how to approach exploration and combat.”

Of course, the new preview of the title with included gameplay does go on to affirm a previous statement made by Microsoft to host new footage for the game. In that, claims depicted the Xbox company to feature a new trailer for the game, but the firm told that to not be the case. Now, that is clearly evident. Are you happy there is an official release date for Elden Ring?

Elden Ring is to arrive to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on January 21, 2022.
