Amid the excitement that grew around developer Playground Games last year upon revealing its plans to reboot the once beloved Lionhead Studios’ Fable series, the developer is also working on its own grassroots series with the fifth entry making way for later this November. Unveiled back at E3 this year, Forza Horizon 5 takes the series to Mexico with a new level of detail and arcade racing mayhem.

Additionally, the game studio has went on to address the game’s state following its announcement. In that, the game is to perform at 4K resolution with 60 frames per second. Initially, it was determined that the game would only process at a 30 Hz refresh rate, but it was later indicated by Creative Director Mike Brown that the release will be optimized for newer standards on Xbox Series X|S.

In a new reveal during Tuesday’s Xbox Gamescom Livestream, the cover art for Forza Horizon 5 was reveal. Of course, the announcement also emphasizes on the starring automobiles for the game – Mercedes-AMG ONE and 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Just like the incredibly diverse location of Mexico, we want to bring diverse vehicles to the game to take advantage of what Mexico has to offer. Bringing the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands and Mercedes-AMG ONE to Forza Horizon 5 was a true collaboration between all parties, which shows when you get behind the wheel,” Brown explains in the latest Xbox Wire post.

And just to add more coal to the hype train that is Forza Horizon 5, the team over at Microsoft unveiled yet another Xbox Series X|S controller that encaptures plenty of the setting and design for Forza Horizon 5. The ‘Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller’ is the first Xbox Series X|S gamepad to feature a transparent shell. The controller is available now for pre-order on the Microsoft Store for $74.99.
