While Nintendo is continuing to turn the wheel for the industry with the overtaking success of the Nintendo Switch, the firm has confirmed already its plans for the hardware in the next year or so. In that, the Japanese company denounced any claims regarding an enhanced model for the Nintendo Switch to release at a nearby time following the October launch for the Nintendo Switch OLED Model.

But, other speculation grows within the community elsewhere. Online it can be discovered that followers are congregating in anticipation for a Nintendo Direct for September 2021 to take place in the coming weeks. However, there has yet to be a verifiable nod proving such a presentation will be taking place. Despite that, there could be potential details emerging on what might be present at the alleged showcase.

From Nintendo Life, it was indicated that the Nintendo Switch Online virtual libraries are expecting an upgrade in September. More so it being for the Nintendo Game Boy, one source explained to the outlet. Unable to confirm at the time, it appears a pattern is forming as now Eurogamer corroborates the same claim in a new report.

With multiple publications now stating the same story, there is a better likeliness for the announcement to be made. But it should be noted that it does not confirm a presentation is coming just yet. Additionally, neither reports indicated which titles are coming to Nintendo Switch Online nor covers what Game Boy iterations specifically will be welcomed when the reveal happens.

Previously, Nintendo Switch Online welcomed a slew of Super Nintendo Entertainment System titles for the respected virtual library. Those game were Bombuzal, Claymates, and Jelly Boy. You can read the full report by heading here.

What are you hoping is to come to the Nintendo Switch Online service next?
