Kingdom Hearts – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III To Receive Cloud Versions For Nintendo Switch

While the prevalent Kingdom Hearts franchise has stretch far from its era on the PlayStation 2 well unto new hardware with the release of Kingdom Hears III most recently, the largest surprise still remains the number of support that hit Xbox not too long ago. Alongside the third mainline installment that shipped then, both Kingdom Hearts – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue came to the platform alongside Xbox Game Pass at one time.

In regards to the IP in recent news, it is no secret on the announcement involving protagonist Sora becoming the last addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Alongside that, the character is also finding himself to be receiving an Amiibo that will release at a later time. For the sake of Kingdom Hearts, this will be the first instance of the series on Nintendo Switch when it arrives this month to the 2018 platform brawler.

But elsewhere from Square Enix on Tuesday this week, the publisher shared that Kingdom Hearts – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 is receiving versions for Nintendo Switch. However, it will be Cloud Versions that do not natively run on Nintendo’s system. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“10 magical Kingdom Hearts titles will make their long-awaited debut on Nintendo Switch as three standalone cloud releases. The streaming versions of Kingdom Hearts, the best-selling action RPG series, will be available to purchase individually and as the all-in-one Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud collection,” the publisher writes in a press release.

In total, those ten titles are: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, and Kingdom Hearts III..
