
From the upcoming anniversary for Xbox, the video game division of Microsoft is turning twenty years-old this November. As Microsoft already paved out announcements for the initiative to thank its users in the past two decades, there comes collaborations and incentives to be a part of the birthday for the platform. For one, a partnership between Microsoft & Adidas has been reported to be in the works previously.
It was not until this past October that the two emerged to make its’ plans public. Among the arrangement to be underway, the pair unveiled the Original Xbox-inspired Adidas Forum Tech sneakers. Of course, more merchandise was promised as part of the new ‘Always Played In. Never Played Out’ campaign. Another timely announcement from Microsoft was the 20th anniversary Controller and headset coming later this month.
On Wednesday, Microsoft & Adidas returned with the next pair of shoes to celebrate Xbox. This time, the two reveal the The Xbox 360 Forum Mid sneakers. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“With a plethora of visual throwbacks and Easter eggs that fans will love, the Xbox 360 Forum Mid is truly designed as a love letter to one of the most iconic consoles in gaming history,” Xbox Consumer Products Senior Sales & Marketing Manager James Monosmith tells.
“Drawing inspiration from the original Xbox 360 console’s colors — white, silver, and green — the incredible details highlighted throughout the sneaker represent a playful celebration and nod to the vibrant history of Xbox.” Noted, this is still a fraction of what is to be revealed with a celebratory livestream scheduled for November 15 this month.
The Xbox Wire blog post goes on to mention that the affiliated ‘‘Always Played In. Never Played Out’ campaign has launched a website for the Xbox celebration and visiting can lead to earning prizes for participants that visit.
