Although Blizzard Entertainment has been tossed around in conversations recently, it is due to the continued plans for Microsoft’s acquisition of the team and its parent company Activision Blizzard for $68 billion. While the arrangement is said to be settled in the following financial year, the team is still hard at work on upcoming projects. For one, the team revealed it is working on a new survival-based IP recently.

Additionally, Overwatch 2 is also in the pipeline which gets fans excited for the upcoming sequel. For that, the game already began its beta for the game to ease players into the next installment. However, World of Warcraft is certainly due for a new announcement moving forward with expansion Shadowlands already being out for roughly two years now.

In an announcement from Blizzard Entertainment, the team unveiled the new add-on expansion for World of Warcraft will be titled ‘Dragonflight’. You can watch the cinematic trailer in the video below:

“The dragons of Azeroth have played a central role in the world’s affairs, guiding the mortal races and influencing events with their considerable power—occasionally for their own ends. As their sacred broodlands reawaken, the dragons will call on the heroes of the Alliance and Horde to help reckon with the threats and mysteries that are beginning to surface,” the overview for the new expansion reads.

“In their journey to the new level cap of 70, players will explore the primordial wonder and ancient secrets of the Dragon Isles across four new zones—the Waking Shores, roiling with elemental power; the vast expanse of the Ohn’ahran Plains; the frosty peaks of the Azure Span; and the majestic spires and temples of Thaldraszus.”

Dragonflight is also told to feature a new “race/class combo” featuring dracthyr Evoker combining humanoid and draconic forms into one. Players can choose decide between Alliance or Horde which dictates being a healer or ranged build. Dragonriding will also be introduced adding a new skill which makes traversal more easy for users.
