first descendant

Today NEXON shared a new version of The First Descendant trailer, ahead of their attendance at Tokyo Games Show. The latest trailer showcases the game’s unique characters – Sharen (the assassin concept melee dealer), Bunny (the super-fast nuke with electrical attacks), Freyna (the poison type continuous dealer), Jayber (the genius that summons turrets), and more. Using various weapons, the characters team up in action-packed co-op battles against massive monsters each with different gimmicks, all rendered by the outstanding graphics of Unreal Engine 5.

The First Descendant is a co-op, third person action RPG that allows up to four players at once. Each will control one of the characters above and maximize the teams’ progress by utilizing their respective abilities in harmony. All kinds of looting, grappling hooks and insane guns will allow you to defeat the bosses. You’ll have the choice to then unlock new characters or upgrade your current one.

A Steam beta is scheduled for October 20 – 26th and requires pre-registration. You can do so through the game’s Steam page here. There is no release date yet post beta, but The First Descendant is set to launch on Steam along with both generations of PlayStation and Xbox. In the meantime, be sure to keep up with the game’s Twitter page for more info.
