The Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct took place on August 31 taking a deep dive into what the gameplay entails. One of the unique features Wonder has to offer as we’ve seen was the power-up of turning into an Elephant. We know Mario will turn into an Elephant, but there will be more characters having the ability to do that.

Luigi, Daisy, Peach, Toad, and Toadette will be able to turn into an Elephant allowing you to attack enemies with your trunk, easily break through blocks, dash across large gaps and you can spray your nose on flowers across the game.

The Elephant power-up looks like something we all didn’t think was possible, but Nintendo has pulled it off again.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder comes to Nintendo Switch on October 20, 2023.

What was also revealed during the Direct was the Nintendo Switch OLED – Mario Red Edition that comes out on October 6, 2023.
