Starfield without a doubt has been a huge success for Xbox Game Studios and more specifically, Bethesda which has become their biggest game launch in history. During the first week from Early Access to the second day of full launch, the game saw over 6 million players online. New data from GfK showed a 76% increase in Xbox Series S and X sales for the week ending September 2.

This news comes from Gamesindustry where they share that GfK games boss, Dorian Bloch says this was the biggest week of the year thus far for Xbox Series X and S hardware sales in the United Kingdom. While Starfield was releasing so was the 1TB Carbon Black Xbox Series S on September 1st which took up 24% of all Xbox console sales during that week.

During the week ending on September 2nd, Xbox Series X sales had a 46% increase in sales in the UK. This might have been the biggest year for the Xbox consoles since it was released in 2020.
