Undead Labs released State of Decay 2 on May 18, 2018, and fans of the series have been waiting for the sequel of the Xbox console-exclusive game. We may have found out the release window for State of Decay 3 thanks to a job profile found online from a Lighting/Technical Artist at Undead Labs.

According to Nora Shramek’s Art Station profile, Undead Labs will release State of Decay 3 in 2027. You can see the job profile below, but the post has been deleted since the internet found out.

When it comes to something like this always take it with a grain of salt as this could have been a random year selected from the individual or a placeholder from the company. If this release window were true that would put State of Decay 3 releasing ahead of Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox console that was leaked to release in 2028.

The game was officially announced during the Xbox Showcase in 2020.

Recently Undead Labs put out a Curveball Update for State of Decay 2 overhauling the core game and it’s available now.
