Octopath Traveler is temporarily unavailable to purchase on Nintendo Switch

Octopath Traveler is temporarily unavailable for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop and My Nintendo Store as of March 1, 2024. This was initially spotted by @Lbabinz on X (Twitter) showing a screenshot of Octopath Traveler on the Nintendo Store showing a “Not Available” prompt to purchase.

Nintendo did not give a reason for the matter but did state the game would be available to purchase again soon.

“Octopath Traveler is temporarily unavailable for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop and My Nintendo Store as of March 1, 2024. The game will be available to purchase again soon.”

Octopath Traveler came to the Nintendo Switch on July 13, 2018, and it’s a little strange to see this happen six years later, but there’s probably a good reason why.
