Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Wilds is in active development for Nintendo Switch 2.
This came after Summer Game Fest 2026 with Geoff Keighley, where Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance was revealed, which is a brand-new expansion coming in 2027.
The news that Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to the Nintendo platform was revealed in a ‘Developer Message’ video featuring Takuro Hiraoka and Ryozo Tsujimoto, the Director and Producer of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance.

Capcom has been a huge third-party supporter of the Nintendo Switch 2 by bringing games to the console the same day as all platforms. That includes games like PRAGMATA and Resident Evil Requiem, just to name a couple.
No other information has been provided for the Switch 2 port of the game.
