Remedy Entertainment has been developing the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes but it’s also in partnership with Rockstar Games. It was no surprise to see the two companies come together as they’ve done so in the past, but what we didn’t know was how the budget would be for these remakes.

According to a financial statement by Remedy Entertainment, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake will have the same budget as Alan Wake II. That will make for great anticipation for those who have been fans of Remedy’s recent games like Alan Wake or even Control.

Rockstar Games will be the ones funding the project while Remedy Entertainment works its magic to recreate the best experience possible for Max Payne.

A release for the project has yet to be determined, but it will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Alan Wake II was a finalist for Game Of The Year at The Game Awards 2023 but fell short of Baldur’s Gate 3.
