Marvel games are on the rise and it seems like there is another new video game featuring the Marvel universe is in development and is best compared to Overwatch. Last week known insider Kurakasis posted on X (Twitter) about an unannounced AAA Marvel video game that was titled ‘Marvel Rivals’ developed by NetEase Games.

While it was thought to be a Marvel first-person shooter title, it turns out it will be a third-person shooter. According to The Streamr, Marvel Rivals is best described as a “6v6 Overwatch-style hero shooter” that will feature a variety of Marvel characters some being fan favorites and others being less known. The outlet’s sources shared screenshots of this being a third-person shooter.

The following characters that will reportedly be in this game are Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Luna Snow, Punisher, Rocket, Groot, Loki, Spider-Man, Hulk, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Storm, Peni Parker, Black Panther, Star Lord, Namor, and Thor.

The Streamr says they expect this game to release around Q3 2025 and it will definitely release on PC while other speculation may suggest this coming to consoles as well.

An announcement for this game is expected to happen this year.
