Sega has been on a roll developing and releasing games as of late and this includes making titles exclusively for mobile such as Sonic Dream Team that came to the Apple Arcade. A new report from Midori has come out stating that Sega will be working with Disney to work on a brand new game that will be released on mobile platforms in 2025.

Neither company has come out and said this publicly yet so it would be wise to take this information with a grain of salt. However, Midori is the most reliable Sega insider in the industry right now. The good news about this Disney and Sega project is that it will come to both Android and iOS, based on the wording Midori used.

It seems that Sega has put a large focus on mobile gaming as they are reported to be working on a Sonic Sports Game, a Sonic Chao game, and Sonic Toys Party exclusively for mobile. Some of these games will be available through Netflix only or they will only be on the Apple Arcade.

This wouldn’t be the first time Disney and Sega have been connected as they recently hired former Disney executive, Justin Scarpone to oversee Sega’s transmedia venture for film and television. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen the two companies partner for video games as Disney had games released for the Sega Genesis such as The Lion King, Toy Story, The Jungle Book, and many others.
