For more than a decade, Grand Theft Auto V has remained the last major entry for the Rockstar Games IP. And despite the wait time for the next installment, Rockstar Games continued to issue new content to its GTA Online experience. However, the same level of attention was absent for the story mode. And, that was the plan – at least for the most part.
In a previous interview with GameInformer, the developer confirmed no story add-ons or expansions are heading way for Grand Theft Auto V. It shared its committed to supporting GTA Online solely. From a more recent leak, DLC for the game appeared to surface online including content packs and the more intriguing ‘Agent Trevor’ spy add-on as well.
According to Trevor Philips voice actor Steven Ogg, he elaborates working on the DLC that never got released. He said this when speaking on a GTA V Q&A, he confirmed that the espionage add-on was in development for some period, but never was released. You can watch the segment of the show below:
“We also had that really cool- I forget if it was DLC or, I have no idea, but where Trevor was like a- undercover – he works for the feds,” Ogg says. “And we did shoot some of that stuff with like James Bond Trevor: he’s still kind of a f- up, but he’s doing his best pretending to be like […] we shot some stuff, and it just disappeared and never did it and they never followed up on it.”
Of course now the concept for DLC for Grand Theft Auto V is well behind us. Just this past December, Rockstar Games revealed Grand Theft Auto VI. Alike the DLC for its predecessor, the announcement trailer was leaked online, but, the developer decided to upload it before its promised time. You can read the full report by heading here.
