The Super Mario Bros. Movie was a great success when it came to theaters in April 2023. It was the first time we got an animated Mario movie on that level and it brought many great memories to those who played Mario through the last 30 years.

In the Super Mario Bros. Movie, Chris Pratt starred as Mario which shocked the world at first, but the actor played the role well. One of the other iconic characters from the Nintendo universe that was not featured in the film is Wario.

Everyone’s favorite Hollywood actor, Danny DeVito said he wants to play Wario in the Super Mario Bros. Movie sequel. This comes from an interview with The Movie Dweeb on YouTube when DeVito says he is ready to do a lot of things.

We aren’t really sure what the next Mario movie will be like yet, but Nintendo did confirm the next Super Mario Bros. movie will be released on April 3, 2026.

Will Wario or Waluigi make the cut for the next film?
