For more than a month at least, Apex Legends is continuing to reshape itself with new features & modes to the core battle royale. The biggest is the release of its revamped battle pass. Originally, it featured two stringing passes that required real-life currency to purchase. The developer since then revised the decision to use in-game Apex Coins. Additionally, Quads mode since its inception from the ‘Double Take Collection Event’ has remained in Apex Legends.
In August, Respawn Entertainment finally introduced Season 22 – Shockwave. While not featuring a new added Legend, it does bring fundamental changes to the overall experience for the live-service title. The most being the addition of map E-District. Additionally, its first event ‘Temporal Chaos Collection Event’ brought some fresh experiences with Straight Shot Revival then.
Now this week, a new event is here celebrating the halfway point for Season 22. ‘Space Hunt Event’ is to take place from September 17th to October 15th bringing new changes to the latest added map and a new limited-time mode, Knockout. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Introducing the all-new 60-player, 20-squad, Battle Royale experience: Knockout! In this intense, objective-based competition, squads must capture zones and collect EVO to rack up points. The 5 lowest-scoring squads are eliminated after each round, so every point counts. Enjoy infinite respawns until the high-stakes Sudden Death finale. After 3 rounds, the final 5 squads are redeployed for an all-out battle where only one squad will emerge victorious.”
The update also welcomes a new universal heirloom – Serpent Sting. “As you kill enemies during a match, red holographic triangles will fill on the ‘Serpent’s Sting’, maxing out at 5 kills and resetting each match. For those who reach the coveted title of Kill Leader, you’ll see a unique crown holographic at the top for as long as you retain the title.”
How excited are you for the ‘Space Hunt Event’ in Apex Legends?
