This year kicked off with the launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. However, the reception of the game has left a negative impact on Warner Bros. as many are well aware. The game was reported to be a $200 million loss for the publisher. Alongside that, promised DLC for the game appears to only be the main focus for Rocksteady Studios when IGN pressed on content after the initial roadmap.

Thus far, the developer has delivered on its commitment to those still playing. In March, Season 1 arrived with The Joker as a playable character. Then in July, Season 2 rolled out including Mrs. Freeze as the next playable addition. And with more on the way, it is already understood the studio is working on a new game. Insider Nick Baker said the team has returned to its roots developing a new Batman title as of late.

This week, Rocksteady Studios returns with a new season for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. On Tuesday October 1st, Season 3 for the base game will go live featuring the addition of new playable character Lawless. Tied to Deadshot’s bloodline, daughter Zoey Lawton joins Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as the newest addition.

The roadmap for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is also showing to be thriving with new additions as well. Episode 5: Thieves prepared for Season 3 comes with a slew of new in-game items including unique weapons and even a melee weapon pack themed after the addition of Lawless. Of course, a new battle pass is introduced with promises with “ever changing Metropolis’ to the game’s map and the Green Lantern & Superman Brainiac Fight as well.

Then in Episode 6: Scoundrels, more of the same is laid out for the update when it arrives. Of course, there are newly featured Infamy Sets & Notorious Gear for players to unlock alongside some untitled Elseworld maps on the way too. Most notable is the new mid-season raid Superman Brainiac Fight that is releasing.
