Activision and Treyarch officially released Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Friday, October 25, 2024, and its launch has already been greater than Modern Warfare III. On Steam, Black Ops 6 has reached 254,379 concurrent players compared to the 190,000 concurrent players MWIII had at launch this time last year.

This is the highest concurrent player count for a Call of Duty title in over a year.

The number of concurrent players on consoles is expected to reach new heights. This increase is likely due to Xbox Game Pass, where Black Ops 6 is now available. This marks the first time a Call of Duty title has launched on Game Pass on its release day. We won’t know the full player counts probably until after a week from its launch when Activision releases statistics for the title.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Game Pass.
