Glen Schofield directed Dead Space when it debuted in 2008 and recently it turns out that he and two others who helped create the franchise, Bret Robbins and Christopher Stone pitched the idea of Dead Space 4 to EA.
Electronic Arts reportedly rejected the idea of Dead Space 4 after the three creators pitched it to the company.
“We tried ‘Dead Space 4’ We respect their opinion, they know their numbers and what they have to ship,” said Schofield.
“All three of us sat there and wanted to do it,” Christopher Stone said.
“Well we didn’t go too deep, they just said no, we’re not interested right now, we appreciate it, blah blah blah.”
The Dead Space franchise hasn’t seen a new game besides the recent remake for over 10 years. Dead Space 3 was released in 2013.
