Mario is staring down Link for taking his #1 spot. Revenge will be served.

Thanks to an investor briefing put out by Nintendo earlier, it was revealed that Link has taken the #1 spot for highest selling amiibo. This is a pretty interesting fact since many assumed Mario would take that spot due to him being the companies flagship character and the most known. The top 10 list is as follows(Keep in mind this info is for NA):

  1. Link
  2. Mario
  3. Pikachu
  4. Kirby
  5. Samus
  6. Yoshi
  7. Zelda
  8. Donkey Kong
  9. Peach
  10. Luigi

All 10 of these figures are the easiest to find in stores so it comes as no surprise that they have the highest sales numbers, if only Nintendo would stock some of the lesser known characters more. Keep it tuned here for the latest amiibo news, we’ll be sure to update you on when Wave 4 preorders go up.
