Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble at release last year was a pleasant welcome for Nintendo Switch. “The game presents some challenges with tough courses and its online mode, but it’s a good choice for those looking to play something different in today’s gaming world. This will go down as another great Super Monkey Ball title,” our review for the game reads.
Part of the game’s post-launch included a string of add-on playable characters. The featured Sega Pass included Sonic cast (Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy) alongside other recognized faces including Jet Set Radio’s Beat & Crazy Taxi’s Axel. In the later 2.0 update for the game, Sega & RGG Studio welcomed both Godzilla as well as Hatsune Miku to Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble also.
This week in a ‘Emergency Meeting’, RGG Studio reveals that the Among Us crewmate is being added to Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“The Crewmate from Among Us is now available as paid character DLC for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble through the Nintendo eShop! Bananas will turn to pizza slices as players channel their inner Impostor through the game’s various stages and modes,” the description reads. “Plus, a free new 2.10 update for the game is also live, adding a new stage for the ‘BA-BOOM!’ battle mode, new customization options, and more, all at no added cost.”
This is not the first instance that Among Us has crossed paths with other franchises. This past fall celebrating the release for Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, a Miles Edgeworth skin was available for free for a limited-time then. You can read the full report by heading here.
