It has already been rumored that a Gears of War Collection will be released this Summer with an announcement coming in June. The report indicates the collection will be coming to PlayStation 5 and we assume it’ll have an Xbox and PC release on top of that.
According to MiddleAgeGaming’s sources, The Gears of War Collection will be announced around June 20, 2025, and will release in August 2025. The leaker also shares that the Gears of War Collection will be PS5 Pro Enhanced at launch.

The following games expected to be in the Gears of War Collection are Gears of War 1, Gears of War 2, and Gears of War 3. It will have no multiplayer and it’ll be single-player and co-op only.
Games that will not be included are Gears of War 4, Gears: Judgement, and Gears 5. It would make sense to have the first few games available for at least other platforms. There has been no news on if this would come to the Nintendo Switch 2 either.
The Coalition would be behind this project along with Gears of War E-Day that is rumored to release in late 2025.
This wouldn’t be the only iconic Xbox franchise coming to PS5. Microsoft made it official that Forza Horizon 5 will be coming to PS5 in April. Rumors of Halo: The Master Chief Collection have also been circulating.
As always we must take reports like this with a grain of salt. Microsoft or The Coalition have made anything official yet.
