1047 Games announced that its first-person shooter, Splitgate 2, will be getting an Open Beta starting May 22. The beta will be available across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store with crossplay enabled across all platforms.
The developer also released a teaser trailer for what to expect in the Splitgate 2 open beta. The Open Beta is going to have over 15 new maps, more than 25 weapons, and more.
Here is a list of what to expect in the Splitgate 2 Open Beta:
25+ Weapons – featuring the brand new Borealis, an energy carbine power weapon
15+ Maps – including two new massive 24-Player Onslaught maps, Drought and Fracture
10+ Modes – with fan-favorite Takedown making its triumphant comeback, where teams battle to eliminate all members of the opposing team before they can respawn
Splitgate 2 is expected to be an extremely large game with bigger maps, more modes, weapons, players, and a lot more. 1047 Games has not announced the release date for the free-to-play first-person shooter. However, they did say Splitgate 2 is expected to still release in 2025.
The Open Alpha for the Splitgate sequel was a success with well over 500K total games played, 59 million total kills, and a lot more.
