Yesterday the team at The Coalition, and as well as the studio’s head Rod Fergusson went to San Diego Comic-Con to talk about one of the most anticipated titles of this year. Along with them the voice of Marcus Fenix – John DiMaggio also joined the booth to talk about the game. Let’s look at the stuff they talked about out.
Horde Mode 3.0
It’s not a mystery Horde mode is coming back to Gears – as it was announced back at E3. Unfortunately Rod didn’t giveaway much information about it. He said looking back to the success of the iterations, and as well as the failures saying Horde Mode 2.0 became too “tower defense”. With Horde Mode 3.0 in Gears 4 you will be able to build stuff wherever you want and move it as you please. Rod also revealed this mode is going to feature a system based on classes and skills but different from OverRun. The good news is it’s going back to 50 waves! Much more information is coming in the near future.
JD Fenix name has been disclosed.
Since the reveal of this character many have been wondering what JD stands for.  Wait no more…It stands for James Dominic Fenix. An homage to the Dominic character that [spoilers ahead] died in Gears Of War 3.

Gears of War Movie?
A Q&A participant  asked Rod about a Gears of War Movie. Fergusson said it’s something the team would love to do. He also said he’s excited to deliver good news very soon.  Not exactly confirmation, but they may be cooking up some goodies for the fans.
Other interesting stuff from Gears Of War 4
A fan asked about the sawed-off shotguns. Rod immediately said it’s not coming back to the full game. A lot of fans applauded for the good news. Jimmy Smits an actor you may know from Sons Of Anarchy, Dexter Season 03, and Star Wars prequels has been announced to voice Oscar Diaz.
