Final Fantasy Tactics – The Invalice Chronicles releases September 30 for all platforms

Square Enix made an appearance at the PlayStation State of Play today, which had several games, including Nioh 3 and 007 First Light. The publisher revealed Final Fantasy Tactics – The Invalice Chronicles, which is an enhanced version of the classic tactical RPG, Final Fantasy Tactics.

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Invalice Chronicles will release on September 30, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The remaster will come with an updated and enriched script with fully voiced dialogue, Square Enix announced, alongside improved graphics that bring a new level of immersion and playability to the battlefield.

The enhanced version also brings quality-of-life updates like new difficulties, revamped UI, auto save, and more that make the game more approachable for newcomers. The game features strategic, turn-based combat and an elaborate character progression system

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Invalice Chronicles will have both enhanced and classic versions of the game. The classic version is a nostalgic recreation of the game, developed for players who want to experience the original Final Fantasy Tactics from 1997.
