Latest Xbox Insiders Update Offers Support For Xbox PC ‘Aggregated Gaming Library’ To Link Steam & Other PC Stores

The recent Xbox showcase set forth a new precedent for Xbox – a connected ecosystem regardless of hardware. With the announcement of the ROG Xbox Ally, this set the foundation. Microsoft also announced its new partnership with AMD that will lay the stepping stones for the next-generation. Xbox president Sarah Bond went into further detail pressing that the new arrangement will deliver an “experience not locked to a single store.”

Clearly, Microsoft is pushing for users to reach all their titles – that includes from its ecosystem and outside storefronts via Windows. Phil Spencer has already stated that is a major commitment for Xbox moving forward on this notion. Earlier in May, it was reported that the Xbox firm has already begun testing Steam for its platform.

Now this week, a new update is rolling out for Xbox Insiders – Copilot for mobile, publisher channel – and Microsoft also revealed aggregated gaming library support will be rolling out for the new Xbox PC. This includes your purchase library on console alongside the extended number of other PC storefronts.

With the aggregated gaming library, players can conveniently launch games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net and other leading PC storefronts from a single library within the Xbox PC app. Whether you’re on a Windows PC or a handheld device, your Xbox library, hundreds of Game Pass titles, and all your installed games from leading PC storefronts will now be at your fingertips,” Xbox platform product manager Manisha Oza shares.

“As long as you have game titles installed from supported PC stores, you should see them listed in both My Library as well as the Most Recent section. If you’d prefer not to see those titles listed you can select your profile picture, then select Settings, then Library & Extensions and you will see the available storefronts.”
