Chicago Bears Caleb Williams Official Cover Athlete For Madden NFL 27, Closed Beta Live This Weekend

Last month, the first signs for the annual NFL releases appeared on digital storefronts. It was discovered that EA Sports Madden NFL 27 would be releasing later this August according to the Nintendo eShop. And just recently, Electronic Arts also went ahead confirming that EA Sport College Football 27 is set to release next month on July 9th. 

Around the same time, the publisher also properly revealed EA Sports Madden NFL 27. Alongside verifying the previous leak, it also shared that Chicago Bears’ quarterback Caleb Williams will be the cover athlete for this year’s game. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

“When I received the call from Madden, it was like my childhood dream was coming true. Being on the cover of Madden NFL 27 is a full circle moment. I grew up playing Madden and imagining what it would be like to be part of the game. I know fans are going to love what’s new in this year’s game, and I’m looking forward to getting my rating up to a 99 by the end of the season,” Williams said in a statement.

Vice president of franchise strategy & marketing Evan Dexter added: “Caleb Williams is what a true Face of the Franchise looks like — the culmination of many moments in the Chicago Bears’ incredible history that has led them to their electric, generational quarterback. Madden NFL 27 aims to put more of those critical moments and key management decisions, with meaningful consequences that echo across the NFL, in the hands of our players so that they can build a league that’s truly their own.”

Elsewhere, Electronic Arts shared that a closed beta for EA Sports Madden NFL 27 is being held this weekend. Staring on June 11th until June 14th, you can sign-up by purchasing a MVP+ membership on either XBOX, PlayStation or PC. Franchise Mode is available to only four teams alongside Ultimate Team is up with stripped options as well. Sharing anything from the closed test is also said to be prohibited too.
